What our towing company charges in Hoboken, NJ: $149 booking fee, $129 online, and the miles quoted before we roll
One company owns every truck, so there is one price list, and this is it. It reads the way our receipt reads: a booking fee, a mileage line, a recovery line only if the car needs it, and roadside jobs at one flat price each.
How our Hoboken towing company works out a price: the fee, the miles, and the two possible extras
Each tow begins with the same $149 booking fee, or $129 if you book it online, adds a per-mile figure to the address you give that is read out before a truck is assigned, and goes higher only if the car needs dollies or a winch, or a medium or heavy wrecker, both named before any work starts.
| What | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Booking fee by phone | $149 | Dispatch and hook-up, any hour |
| Booking fee online | $129 | $20 off when you book it yourself |
| Mileage to your destination | Quoted on the call | Before the truck moves. You pick the shop. |
| Jump start · tire · lockout · fuel | One flat price each | No mileage. Tried first when it can solve it. |
| Winch or dollies | Only if the car will not roll | Named before the work, you decide |
| Night, weekend, holiday, fuel surcharge | None | 3 a.m. costs what 3 p.m. costs |
| Storage or release fee | None | The car goes to your shop, not a yard |
The booking fee: $149 by phone, $129 online
It pays for dispatch and hook-up and does not change with the hour, the day or the weather. Call and it is $149; use the booking page and it is $129.
It covers a car, SUV or pickup on a flatbed or wheel-lift. A van, box truck or bus gets its own quote because it needs a bigger truck.
Mileage, quoted before the truck is assigned
A per-mile figure from the car to where you want it. Inside Hoboken or across the line to Jersey City or Weehawken, it stays small.
A longer run to the shore or out of state becomes a long distance tow priced as one number, tolls included.
Dollies, winching and heavy trucks, only when needed
A car that cannot roll or steer, or is stuck on a low garage deck, needs dollies or a winch. A heavy vehicle needs a medium or heavy wrecker.
Either is named on the call, or at the curb before the driver starts if he only finds it there. Nothing else is ever added.
Account pricing for Hoboken businesses
A garage operator, a restaurant, a contractor or a campus fleet that tows every month gets a rate sheet, booked windows and one statement on net terms. Ask the desk to set up an account.
Give the dispatcher the pickup, the drop-off and the vehicle. The total she reads is the total you pay.
Get a quote nowBook online · $129What a receipt from our Hoboken towing company shows, and what it never will
Our receipt shows the company name, the booking fee, the miles and any recovery or heavy-duty line agreed in advance, or a single roadside line, and it never shows a night, weekend, holiday, fuel, passenger, storage or release charge.
| Company name and number | At the top of every receipt, so the paper traces back to us long after the tow |
|---|---|
| Booking fee | $149 by phone or $129 online, identical on every truck at every hour |
| Mileage | The per-mile figure quoted on the call times the distance to your chosen address |
| Recovery | Only when the car needed dollies or a winch, and only after you agreed |
| Heavy-duty | Only for a van, box truck, bus or tractor that needed a medium or heavy wrecker |
| Roadside jobs | A jump start, flat tire change, car lockout or fuel delivery, one flat line each, no mileage |
| Never on it | Night, weekend or holiday rates; fuel surcharge; a hook fee on top of the booking fee; passenger charge; storage; release fee; a different price for cash |
| Not ours either | City impound, towing or boot fees. Those are Hoboken's charges, paid to the city, and have nothing to do with our receipt |
| Useful for | Insurance claims and roadside-plan reimbursement, because each line is itemized and the company is named |

Call (908) 666-3168How the call worksWhen a Hoboken call is not a tow: jump, tire, lockout and fuel at one flat price
Our tow drivers carry a jump pack, a jack, lockout tools and fuel, so when the dispatcher hears a problem one of those can fix, she sends that instead, billed as one flat line with no mileage.
Jump start
A commuter's car in a lot by the Terminal, a tenant's car on a waterfront deck, a nurse's car near the medical center. If it will not hold a charge, the tow is added on the spot at the usual rate.
Flat tire change
Your spare goes on at the curb. No spare, or a sidewall torn on a Hoboken pothole, and the truck takes you to the tire shop you choose at the tow rate.
Car lockout
Keys locked inside on a permit block, in a garage or by Pier A Park. Opened with damage-free tools, one flat line.
Fuel delivery
Out of gas on Observer Highway or up by 14th Street. Enough fuel to reach a station, brought by a company driver at any hour.
Unsure if you need a tow? Describe what the car did. The roadside fix is cheaper and gets tried first.

Short answers to what people ask about this page; the dispatcher can answer the rest.
Does $149 pay for the entire tow?
It pays for dispatch and hook-up. Mileage to your destination is the second line, quoted before a truck is assigned. Recovery or heavy-duty appears only if the vehicle needs it.
What changes if I book online for $129?
Only that you type the details yourself instead of talking to the dispatcher, and you keep $20. If the car is blocking traffic, call instead; it is quicker.
Do garages and restaurants get a different rate?
An account gets a rate sheet, booked windows and one monthly statement on net terms. The desk opens one in a few minutes.
Is it more expensive at night or on weekends?
No. Same company, same price list, and there is no line for the hour or the date.
Will you charge storage?
No. We do not have a lot, and every tow ends where you told us to take it, so there is nothing to store and nothing to release.
Are city impound fees part of your price?
No. Those are the city's fees, paid to the city. Our receipt covers only the work our truck does.
Anything else? Ask on the call.
