- Permit blocks & midtown
Our towing company on Hoboken's permit-parking blocks: midtown, Church Square Park and the medical center
Midtown Hoboken is brownstones, permit-only curbs and cars parked bumper to bumper on Bloomfield, Garden, Park and Willow. We tow the car that died on your block and needs a mechanic. The city's towing, impounds and boots are a different matter, and we say so up front.
Who calls our company from Hoboken's permit blocks, and where city enforcement ends and we begin
Midtown calls come from residents with a dead car on a permit block, visitors to Hoboken University Medical Center, and people who just got a car back from the city and found it will not start; we never tow for enforcement, only for the owner, at the $149 flat booking fee, $129 when you book online.
City tows and boots are the city's
If your car was towed for a parking violation or has a boot on it, that is Hoboken's enforcement, and only the city can release it. We cannot pay it, fetch it or unlock it for you.
Once the city has released the car, we can take it anywhere you want if it needs a tow.
A dead car boxed in on a brownstone block
Cars on Bloomfield, Garden and Park are parked so tight that a flatbed cannot reach them. Our driver uses dollies to move the car out to the corner or a hydrant-free gap and loads from there.
Tell the dispatcher how tight the space is, and he brings the right gear.
Near the medical center and Church Square Park
Staff and visitors at Hoboken University Medical Center on Willow Avenue sometimes come out of a long shift to a car that will not start. A jump by our driver is one flat price.
Around Church Square Park, the same rule applies: jump first, tow only if needed.
Moving a car that has to leave the block
A car that has not run in weeks, a car being sold, or one going to a mechanic across the line in Jersey City. We handle planned tows too, with a window that fits your schedule.
Booking online for a planned tow saves $20.
Dead car on a permit block? Give the street and the nearest corner. The driver brings dollies if the space is tight.

Call nowPermit blocks & midtown: common questions
Short answers to what people ask about this page; the dispatcher can answer the rest.
The city towed my car. Can you get it for me?
No. Only the city can release a car it impounded. Once it is released, we can tow it wherever you want if it needs a tow.
Can you take a boot off my car?
No. Booting belongs to the city and the boot comes off only through the city.
My car is boxed in on a permit block. Can you still get it?
Usually yes. The driver moves it to a wider spot on dollies and loads it from there.
My car will not start at the medical center. Is it a tow?
Try a jump first, which is one flat price. The tow is added on the spot only if the car will not stay running.
Anything else? Ask on the call.
